Talent Management Center Newsletter

This month, we highlight research that addresses the specific ways HR can drive the digital transformation process, including: assessing talent supply, closing the gap between talent supply and demand, shaping organizational culture, reimagining organizational design, and creating a new leadership model. Assurant and ING offer a peek into how their HR departments have overcome some of the obstacles to moving forward with digital transformation.

One of the 25 takeaways from the 2018 Talent Management Conference, where digital transformation was much discussed: frontline workers will also need to know how to work with new digital tools, so they need to be involved in the change process early on. One company at the conference said they use AI-based assessments from drones to determine where to send first responders to disaster areas. Once on the ground, first responders add their own observations and photos, and AI readjusts its assessments based on the additional information. This process improves the effectiveness of the first responders.

Please see below for more insights from our Center. As a member of The Conference Board, you can always access an updated hub of resources at the Talent Management Center website. I hope you find it valuable and welcome your feedback.
